Pass it Forward Armenia delivers basketball equipment and financial support to schools and orphanages in need across Armenia — connecting diaspora to homeland through action.
Pass it Forward Armenia was born from a firsthand encounter with the resource gap in Armenian schools. After volunteering at orphanages in Armenia and spending time with kids who had a passion for basketball but no equipment, we came home with one goal: bring something back.
We combine the Armenian diaspora's deep love for its homeland with direct, tangible action — delivering equipment and funds to the schools and orphanages that need it most.
"Sport is a language everyone speaks. Basketball gave me community — we want to pass that forward to kids in Armenia who deserve the same."
— Armen Azadian, FounderBasketball transcends language and borders. We use it as a tool for connection, joy, and community development in underserved Armenian schools.
Armenian-Americans have a unique responsibility and privilege. We turn cultural pride into tangible support for the country our families came from.
No middlemen. Equipment and cash are delivered by hand to the schools, by the people who raised the funds. Every dollar is accounted for.
We raise funds through our online donation page and grassroots campaigns in New York City.
In August 2026, our team flies to Armenia and coordinates with local contacts to identify the schools with the greatest need.
We hand-deliver basketballs, hoops, jerseys, and cash donations directly to schools — and stay to play with the students.
Pass it Forward Armenia began with a trip to Armenia that changed everything. After volunteering at orphanages and spending time with kids across the country, we saw firsthand the lack of resources available to young people — especially when it came to sports.
We met kids with a real passion for basketball but no equipment, no hoops, and no support. We saw the gap, and we knew we could do something about it.
We came home to New York with one clear mission: bring something back.
Basketball is a universal language. We use it to build connections between Armenian youth and the diaspora community that cares about them.
Cultural pride means nothing without action. We believe Armenian-Americans have both the opportunity and the responsibility to invest in Armenia.
We deliver everything by hand. Donors know exactly where their money goes — because we're the ones carrying it there.
Through our online donation page and grassroots campaigns in New York City, we raise funds entirely from people who believe in the mission.
In August 2026, our team travels to Armenia and identifies 3–4 schools and orphanages in underserved communities with the greatest need.
We hand-deliver basketballs, hoops, jerseys, and direct cash donations to each school — and spend real time with the students who receive them.
